BPL-5000-EC-40G-PRM is the Balance 5000 EC (40G) configuration for high-capacity enterprise and data-center routing. It provides 70 Gbps router throughput, up to eight 2.5G Ethernet WAN interfaces, up to nine 2.5G Ethernet LAN interfaces, up to eight 25G SFP28 WAN/LAN interfaces, and up to two 40G QSFP+ WAN/LAN interfaces. The selectable WAN/LAN interface roles allow network teams to adapt port assignments in Web Admin. For multi-site and multi-cloud connectivity, SpeedFusion VPN supports bandwidth bonding, hot failover, and smoothing, with up to 30 Gbps SpeedFusion VPN throughput with or without 256-bit AES encryption. High availability, dual hot-swap power supplies, LAN bypass, LACP NIC bonding, full content filtering, and a stateful firewall support continuity and traffic control for critical infrastructure. InControl 2 central management, remote AP and multiple configuration-profile management, and support for up to 2,000 APs extend operational visibility across large deployments. Two 1TB SSDs support edge computing workloads using applications, Docker, and KVM. The 1U rack-mount chassis includes rack mount rails, a short-ear rack mount kit, two power cords, and an Ethernet cable. It operates from 0° to 40° C, carries FCC, CE, and RoHS certifications, and includes a 1-year limited warranty.
