The Cradlepoint R920 is a ruggedized LTE networking platform built for vehicles and IoT. It is small enough to standardize across a fleet and capable enough for video upload, field applications and public safety work. This SKU (TAA-MAA3-0920-C7A-NA) is the TAA-compliant U.S. Federal Government configuration. It pairs the R920-C7A with a 3-year Ericsson NetCloud Mobile Essentials + Advanced subscription and ships without an AC power supply or antennas. The embedded Cat 7 LTE modem uses 2x2 MIMO and two-carrier aggregation to reach 300 Mbps downlink and 150 Mbps uplink. It has dual 4FF SIM slots with SIM-based auto-carrier selection and covers North American bands including B12, B13, B14, B66, B71 and CBRS Band 48 for private cellular networks. It is certified on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, and on FirstNet Trusted, T-Mobile Connecting Heroes and Verizon Frontline. On the local side, the router offers dual-band 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6, embedded Bluetooth LE 5.1, and two LAN/WAN-switchable Gigabit Ethernet ports. The optional RX20 Managed Accessory adds a second LTE or 5G modem plus a serial port. The R920 is built for harsh installs. It carries IP64 sealing, MIL-STD-810G vibration and shock ratings, E-Mark, SAE J1455, EN 61373 rail and Class I Div 2 hazardous-location certifications, and operates from -30 °C to 75 °C. Power comes from 9-36 VDC with ignition sensing, and the 595 g chassis measures 133.6 x 121.5 x 41 mm. A dual-core ARMv8 CPU runs Docker containers at the edge. NetCloud Mobile Essentials provides NetCloud Manager cloud management, software updates and 24x7 support for the full three years. The hardware carries a limited lifetime warranty while the subscription is active. The Advanced plan adds features such as coverage maps, content filtering, intrusion detection and prevention, and application-aware analytics.
