The Ericsson Cradlepoint R920 is a ruggedized LTE networking platform built for fleets, public safety vehicles, transit and IoT deployments that need one standard router across many installs. This North America SKU (MAA1-0920-C7A-NA) is for the U.S. and Canada. It bundles the R920 hardware with a 1-year Ericsson NetCloud Mobile Essentials + Advanced plan, which covers NetCloud Manager cloud management, software updates and support for the full term. The embedded Cat 7 LTE modem uses 2x2 MIMO and two-carrier aggregation to reach 300 Mbps downlink and 150 Mbps uplink. That upload headroom suits in-vehicle video and data. Dual 4FF SIM slots provide SIM-based auto-carrier selection. The modem covers North American LTE bands including B12, B13, B14, B66 and B71, and it supports CBRS Band 48 for private cellular networks. It is certified with AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, and holds FirstNet Trusted, T-Mobile Connecting Heroes and Verizon Frontline public safety certifications. With the RX20 Managed Accessory you can add a second LTE or 5G modem and a serial port. Inside the vehicle, dual-band concurrent 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6 delivers up to 1.2 Gbps on 5 GHz. It supports AP, client and Wi-Fi-as-WAN modes with WPA3. The router also has two GbE LAN/WAN ports, a screw-lock USB 2.0 port, GPIO and Bluetooth LE 5.1. Active multi-constellation GNSS feeds NetCloud coverage maps and location history. Stateful firewall and IPS throughput reach 940 Mbps, with up to 20 IPsec VPN tunnels. The metal chassis is rated IP64 and operates from -30 °C to 75 °C. It is tested to MIL-STD-810G, SAE J1455, E-Mark, EN 61373 rail and Class I Div 2. Power comes from a 9–36 VDC input with ignition sensing. A dual-core 64-bit ARM processor runs Docker containers at the edge. This configuration does not include an AC power supply or antennas.
