The C29SP-05SJ is a 0.5 m (1.64 ft) coaxial extension with an SMA male plug on one end and an SMA female jack on the other. It suits jobs where an antenna or antenna cable needs to sit a short distance from the device, such as clearing a crowded router panel, reaching a bulkhead on an enclosure wall, or easing strain on a device's SMA port. The assembly uses Panorama's CS29 cable (part SR1-029-B), a 5.0 mm (0.20 in) coax with two layers of shielding: a tin-plated copper braid with no less than 95% coverage over an aluminium foil inner shield. Panorama rates its shielding effectiveness better than -95 dB at 400 MHz under IEC 61196-1. Impedance is 50 Ω ± 2 Ω at 1 GHz. Typical attenuation is 2.2 dB per 10 m at 400 MHz, 4 dB per 10 m at 1 GHz and 5.5 dB per 10 m at 2 GHz, so a short run like this adds very little loss to the RF path. The stranded plain copper centre conductor and cellular polyethylene dielectric make the cable flexible enough for tight bends inside cabinets. The black TPE jacket is rated from -40°C to +80°C (-40°F to 176°F). Panorama rates CS29 for cellular, WLAN and other applications up to 3 GHz and publishes the full data in its CS29 cable datasheet.
