The Panorama C240N-5SP is a ready-made 5 m (16.4 ft) antenna cable. It has an N-type male connector on one end and an SMA male connector on the other, so it can join an N-type female port on an antenna or lead to an SMA female port on a router, gateway or modem. It is made from Panorama's CS240 cable, which Panorama recommends for 4G/5G and Wi-Fi installations that need a longer run than thin coax can handle well.
CS240 is a 6.1 mm (0.24 in) cable. Its attenuation is no greater than 0.38 dB per metre at 2 GHz, so the 5 m length adds about 1.9 dB or less of cable loss at that frequency. Impedance is 50 Ω ± 2 Ω at 1 GHz and 50 Ω ± 4 Ω at 2 GHz. The cable is double screened, with a tin-plated copper braid covering at least 93% over a bonded aluminium foil. That gives shielding effectiveness better than -90 dB under IEC 61196-1. Inside are a solid copper inner conductor and a foam polyethylene dielectric, and the velocity factor is 84%.
The black outer jacket is a low-smoke, flame-retardant TPE compound, AlphaGary Megolon S540NS. It meets the EN45545-2 HL3 and UN ECE R118.03 flammability standards and is rated for internal and external installations. The operating range is -40°C to +80°C (-40°F to 176°F). The minimum bend radius is 20 mm (0.78 in) for a one-time bend and 60 mm (2.36 in) for repeated flexing, which gives enough flexibility for cabinet, vehicle and wall routing.
