The Panorama Antennas C240N-15N is a ready-made 15 m (49.2 ft) link for N-type antenna systems. Both ends carry N-type male connectors, so it joins components fitted with N female ports, such as antennas, bulkhead feed-throughs and inline RF hardware. It is aimed at fixed sites and vehicle installations where the antenna sits well away from the router or gateway. The assembly uses Panorama's CS240 cable, a 6.1 mm (0.24 in) ultra-low-loss FRZH cable. Loss is no greater than 0.38 dB per metre at 2 GHz. Impedance is 50 Ω ± 2 Ω at 1 GHz and 50 Ω ± 4 Ω at 2 GHz, and the velocity factor is 84%. The cable is double screened. A bonded aluminium foil sits under a tin-plated copper braid with no less than 93% wire coverage, giving shielding effectiveness of better than -90 dB according to IEC 61196-1. The core is a 1.42 mm solid copper inner conductor in a foam polyethylene dielectric. The cable balances low attenuation with some flexibility. It has a black AlphaGary Megolon S540NS outer jacket and a minimum bend radius of 20 mm for a one-time bend or 60 mm for repeated flexing. It is rated from -40 °C to +80 °C (-40 °F to 176 °F). It also carries EN45545-2 HL3 and UN ECE R118.03 flammability approvals, which matters on rail and road-vehicle projects. Panorama's CS240 cable datasheet documents the full construction.
