The RB-2PS1936BK is a 36U 19-inch 2-post open frame rack built for IT, telecom and structured cabling work where equipment must be reachable from every side. It is part of the RB-2PS Series knock-down rack family in the Rack Basics line, and it ships unassembled so it can be carried through tight doorways, stairwells and service elevators and then built on site.

Construction is 12-gauge mild steel with a black powder coat finish, and the series is rated for a 1600 lb load. The rails use a dual configuration: 12-24 threaded holes on one side and square holes on the reverse, so the same frame can support threaded screw mounting or square-hole hardware depending on the equipment being installed. A self-squaring frame design helps keep the assembly aligned during installation, and side ganging plus accessory mounting provisions allow expansion and the addition of cable management.

Overall dimensions are 69.13 in (1,756 mm) high x 20.00 in (508 mm) wide x 15.00 in (381 mm) deep, with EIA-compliant 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting width and 63.00 in (1,600 mm) of mounting height across 36 rack units. Shipping weight is 60 lbs (27.22 kg). The base angles are pre-drilled for floor anchoring, and the kit arrives with the hardware needed to build the frame:

• Eight 1/4-20 x 3/4 flat head Phillips screws and eight 1/4-20 KEP nuts
• Eight 12-24 Quadrex truss head screws for equipment mounting

RB-2PS1936BK is TAA compliant and manufactured in North America (Country of Origin: CA), USMCA compliant, and RoHS and REACH compliant, which supports government and enterprise procurement requirements. Two racks can be converted to a four-post configuration using the Four Post Rack Kit (FPRK).
