The HDR12UBK is a 12U desktop 2-post open frame rack for mounting standard 19-inch equipment where a full-size floor rack is not practical. It suits IT and AV integrators, lab and test engineers, telecom technicians and OEMs building bench-top, edge or demonstration setups that still need EIA-compliant rack mounting.

Construction is 16-gauge steel with a 195 lb load rating, supported by two 12-gauge steel mounting rails tapped 10-32 with rack unit markings for repeatable equipment placement. The rails are angled at 10 degrees when assembled, improving visibility and access to front-panel controls during operation and monitoring. Cable tie slots along the sides let you route and dress cabling in tight spaces, and four PVC non-slip feet protect the work surface.

Overall dimensions are 23.00 in (584 mm) high by 20.00 in (508 mm) wide with an 11.50 in (292 mm) base depth; the product list gives a nominal size of 22.6 in x 20 in x 11.5 in (574 mm x 508 mm x 292 mm). Mounting height is 21.00 in (533 mm) with a 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting width, giving 12U of usable rack space. Shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg).

HDR12UBK uses a self-squaring knock-down design and ships flat packed, so it is easy to transport and quick to assemble on site. The box includes assembly instructions, two rack rails, left and right side angle bases, a base panel, four PVC non-slip feet and a 25-pack of 10-32 x 0.625 in rack screws (replacement part SCREW1032-25).

The rack is finished in RAL9005 black powder coat and is mild steel, made in Canada. It is TAA compliant, USMCA compliant, RoHS compliant and REACH compliant, with ECCN EAR99.
