The DC4R4448SP is a single solid side panel for 44U DC4R Series 4-post open frame racks. It is designed for IT and network teams, integrators and facilities groups who want to close in an open frame rack for added security and a finished appearance while keeping the front and rear open for equipment access and cable routing. One part number covers one side, so order two if both sides of the rack are to be panelled.

This panel is an adjustable-depth assembly built for racks set between 32 in and 48 in, matching the mounting depth range of the DC4R4448 adjustable-depth rack. The series ordering table also lists DC4R4448SP as the optional solid side panel for the DC4R4442F fixed 42 in deep 44U rack. The panel is made up of left- and right-hand sections that overlap 0.88 in (22 mm) so the assembly can be set to the rack depth in use: the left panel section measures 25.62 in (651 mm) and the right panel section 26.25 in (667 mm), with an overall top-view dimension of 47.91 in (1217 mm) at full extension.

Construction is mild steel with a painted black textured finish, consistent with the DC4R Series racks it mounts to. Mounting hardware is included with DC4R4448SP: four mounting brackets, a centre channel, eight 10-32 x 0.75 in screws with washers, eight 3/8-16 x 3/4 in cap screws with eight 3/8-16 KEP nuts, two 1/4-20 x 1/2 in carriage bolts with two 1/4-20 KEP nuts, and twelve 0.4 in diameter hole plugs.

The panel is RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant and USMCA compliant, with country of origin Canada and ECCN EAR99. Shipping weight is 54 lbs (24.49 kg).
