The Ericsson Cradlepoint R920 is a ruggedized LTE networking platform for vehicles, mobile teams and IoT deployments. This part number, MA05-0920-C7B-GA, pairs the R920 hardware with a 5-year Ericsson NetCloud Mobile Essentials plan. It is configured for Rest of World markets: Australia, the European Union, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Its LTE band set covers FDD B1, B3, B7, B8, B20, B28 and B32 and TDD B38, B40, B41, B42 and B43, which targets those regions rather than the US. The embedded Cat 7 LTE modem delivers up to 300 Mbps down and 150 Mbps up using 2x2 MIMO and 2-carrier aggregation. Dual 4FF SIM slots support SIM-based auto-carrier selection. For in-vehicle clients, dual-concurrent 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6 reaches 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1.2 Gbps on 5 GHz. The Wi-Fi radio can run as an access point, as a wireless client, or as a WAN link. It has an IP64 metal enclosure and operates from -30 °C to 75 °C. It runs on 9–36 VDC with ignition sensing (automatic on, time-delay off). Certifications include E-Mark, SAE J1455, EN 61373 rail, MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration, and Class I Div 2. On the security side, the router provides: • 940 Mbps stateful firewall and IPS throughput • 200 Mbps IPsec VPN with up to 20 concurrent tunnels • Up to 64 VLANs A dual-core ARMv8 CPU runs Docker containerized applications at the edge.
