The Cradlepoint R1900 is Ericsson's ruggedized 5G networking platform for vehicles. It gives police cruisers, ambulances, transit buses, rail cars and utility trucks a persistent connection, and it gives IT remote management, troubleshooting and analytics through Ericsson NetCloud. This SKU, MB05-19005GB-GA, bundles the R1900 5G with Wi-Fi hardware and a 5-year NetCloud Mobile Performance Essentials plan. The plan includes NetCloud Manager, software updates and 24x7 support for the full term. The hardware carries a limited lifetime warranty while the subscription is active. The SKU is for All Regions and does not include an AC power supply or antennas. The embedded modem supports 5G FR1 NSA/SA and falls back automatically to LTE Advanced Pro Category 20 when a vehicle leaves 5G coverage. Peak rates reach 4.14 Gbps down and 660 Mbps up, with 4x4 MIMO and dual 4FF SIM slots. The R1900 is certified on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, EE and Telstra. Public safety certifications include FirstNet Trusted, Verizon Frontline Verified, T-Mobile Connecting Heroes and ESN. It also supports CBRS Band 48 for private cellular networks. Inside the vehicle, the router offers 2x2 MU-MIMO dual-band Wi-Fi 6, four Gigabit Ethernet ports that switch between LAN and WAN, Bluetooth 5.2, USB 2.0, RS-232 serial and GPIO. Discrete GNSS tracks GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and BeiDou with dead reckoning, so the R1900 can feed Automatic Vehicle Location systems. The optional RX30-POE accessory adds four 802.3bt PoE ports. The optional RX30-MC adds a second modem and four more GbE ports. The R1900 is built for harsh installs. It is rated IP64, operates from -30 °C to 75 °C, and meets MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration requirements. It also carries E-Mark, SAE J1455, EN 50155 and Class I Div 2 certifications.
