The Ericsson Cradlepoint R980 is a ruggedized 5G router and security appliance built for mobile, in-vehicle and IoT networks that have to keep running through temperature extremes, vibration and hazardous locations. This part number, TAA-MB01-R980-5GD-A, is the TAA-compliant U.S. Federal Government ordering option. It bundles the R980 with Wi-Fi, a 5G modem, two 4FF SIM slots and embedded eSIM with a 1-year NetCloud Mobile Essentials plan. The plan includes NetCloud Manager device management, software updates, 24x7 support and a limited lifetime warranty for as long as the subscription is active. The package does not include an AC power supply or antennas. The embedded 3GPP Release 16 modem covers 5G NR low- and mid-band from 600 MHz to 6 GHz on both non-standalone and standalone networks, with LTE Advanced Pro Category 19 fallback.
