The Advantech SmartFlex SR310 is a DIN-rail cellular router for industrial and remote sites. It suits industrial PCs, HMIs, traffic controllers, kiosks, meters and cameras, and it can act as an automatic wireless failover for a wired WAN. LTE Cat 4 delivers up to 150 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up, which is enough for video transmission. The router falls back to HSPA+/UMTS and EDGE/GPRS. Two Mini SIM (2FF) slots allow failover to an alternate provider, and the unit carries AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon carrier approvals. Order code BB-SR31000120 is the no-Wi-Fi, no-PoE build in a metal enclosure. It has 2× Ethernet 10/100 ports and an additional 3-port 10/100 Ethernet switch, all with 1.5 kV isolation. Other built-in interfaces include: • 1× USB 2.0 host port and a microSD slot • 2 digital inputs and 1 digital output • A battery-backed RTC and a hardware watchdog • An onboard GNSS receiver (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo) The router accepts 10–60 V DC, draws 4 W on average and offers a 10 mW sleep mode. An ARM Cortex-A8 at 1 GHz with 512 MB RAM runs ICR-OS, a Linux-based operating system. You can build applications in Python, C/C++, BASH or Node-RED, and Router Apps add Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-101/104, MQTT and cloud IoT platform support. Networking and security features include: • VPN: WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec (IKEv1/IKEv2), GRE and L2TP • Routing: BGP and OSPF via Router App, plus VRRP • Authentication: RADIUS, TACACS+ and 2FA Fleets can be deployed and monitored with WebAccess/DMP.
