The Advantech ICR-3232W is a 4G LTE gateway for connecting IP or serial equipment over a cellular network. Typical deployments include SCADA, industrial PCs, HMIs, traffic controllers, CCTV, meters, kiosks and UPS systems. LTE Cat 4 delivers up to 150 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up on FDD, with 3G and 2G fallback. Two covered Mini SIM (2FF) slots provide carrier failover. This order code is the ANZ/LATAM variant. It supports LTE bands B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B28 and B40, its cellular module is Telstra approved, and it is not the North American configuration. The ICR-3232W adds 802.11ac Wi-Fi with 2×2 MIMO and a GNSS receiver to the standard ICR-3232 interface set: • Wi-Fi: 2.4/5 GHz, WPA3 support, access point, station and multirole modes • GNSS: GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS • Wired: two isolated 10/100 Ethernet ports, one RS232 and one RS485 serial port, plus digital input and output on a 10-pin terminal block • Resilience: a battery-backed RTC, sleep mode with power ignition, and a hardware watchdog The router runs on 9–36 V DC. Its approvals include E-Mark, EN 45545-2, MIL-STD-810G and SAE J1455, alongside EN 50155 railway compliance, which suits vehicles and rolling stock. A Cortex-A8 at 1 GHz with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB eMMC in pSLC mode runs the Linux-based ICR-OS. Custom applications can be written in Python, C/C++ or Node-RED, or deployed as Docker containers. Router Apps add Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-101/104 and MQTT support. VPN options include WireGuard, OpenVPN and IPsec. Fleets are managed with WebAccess/DMP. The package includes a wall mount kit, a DIN clip, and the serial/IO and power connectors. Antennas and a power supply are optional accessories.
