Synology DX1215II Expansion Unit, 12-Bay Diskless

Add capacity where it belongs: beside the workload, not in a separate storage stack. The Synology DX1215II gives enterprise teams a 12-bay diskless expansion path for Synology deployments that need more room for backups, archives, shared files, and growing datasets. By extending an existing system instead of introducing a new platform, it helps preserve operational consistency and simplifies storage growth planning. This enclosure is built for organizations that want to scale deliberately. Diskless delivery lets you match drive selection to performance, endurance, and budget requirements, rather than accepting a fixed configuration. That matters when storage policy varies across departments or when capacity must be added in phases. For IT teams managing business-critical data, the DX1215II supports a more controlled expansion model. It reduces the need to migrate workloads to a new array just to gain space, helping maintain continuity for users and administrators alike. The result is a cleaner upgrade path for environments that have outgrown their initial chassis but still need the same management approach, same vendor ecosystem, and same operational discipline.
