Connect parallel-optics equipment across a 3 m run with 16-fiber OS2 single-mode fiber, female MTP/APC connectors, and a Type-B pinout. StarTech OS2MTP16BOFNP3M supports 100 Gbps full-duplex connections for dense fiber links where individual duplex patch cords would consume more pathway space and termination capacity. The MTP Elite interface brings 16 fibers into one compact connector format for high-density patching. The cable uses 9/125 µm single-mode fiber for operation at 1,310 nm or 1,550 nm. APC-polished MTP ends reduce reflected optical signal compared with flat-polish interfaces, making this cable suited to compatible APC MTP infrastructure. Its Type-B polarity reverses fiber positions end-to-end, a required characteristic for deployments planned around a Type-B parallel-fiber channel. An OFNP plenum-rated jacket supports installation in plenum air-handling spaces where plenum cable is required by the site design. The 3.0 mm cable outside diameter helps preserve pathway density in racks, overhead trays, and structured-cabling runs.
