Star Micronics 37968040 Cash Drawer, 16 x 16 in, Printer Driven

Streamline checkout with a cash drawer built for high-traffic point-of-sale environments. The Star Micronics Choice cash drawer uses printer-driven operation, so it opens from the receipt printer without adding a separate power connection or control interface. That keeps the counter simpler and reduces one more point of failure at the lane. Inside, the layout supports 4 bill compartments and 8 coin compartments, giving cashiers a clear, repeatable way to sort tender during busy shifts. The black finish fits cleanly into modern POS stations, while the 16 x 16 in footprint is sized for counters where space matters but cash handling still needs to stay organized. For retailers, restaurants, and service desks that still process cash, the right drawer matters. This model is designed to sit naturally in a printer-based POS workflow, helping staff complete transactions quickly and keep the register area orderly. It is a practical choice when you want a purpose-built drawer rather than a generic storage box, and when reliability at the point of sale is worth paying for.
