QNAP TR-004 4-Bay USB 3.0 Type-C Storage Expansion

Add storage where it is needed without introducing another full array. The QNAP TR-004, MPN TR-004-US, is a 4-bay USB 3.0 expansion enclosure designed for direct-attached storage growth. It gives teams a practical way to extend capacity for backups, project data, and local repositories while keeping the deployment simple and physically contained. The value here is control. A direct USB connection keeps the expansion close to the host system, which is useful when you want predictable access and a smaller operational footprint than a separate networked storage platform. With four bays, the TR-004 supports a compact multi-drive layout that can be used to organize data in a way that fits the workload rather than forcing the workload to fit the hardware. For procurement teams, this model sits in the right place between consumer-grade enclosures and larger storage systems. It is a sensible choice when the requirement is dependable local expansion, not a full SAN. For administrators, it offers a cleaner path to add capacity without overbuilding the environment.
