Keep conversations moving without interrupting the work at hand. The Poly RD-1 electronic hookswitch is designed to support remote call control for compatible Poly headset environments, allowing users to answer and end calls from the headset instead of lifting the desk phone handset. That small change matters in busy offices, reception areas, and contact center stations where every second counts. By reducing manual handset handling, the RD-1 helps create a cleaner, more efficient calling workflow and supports a more consistent user experience across desk-based communications. It is a practical accessory for organizations standardizing headset use on supported phone systems, especially where speed, desk ergonomics, and call handling discipline are important. For teams comparing accessory options, the value is in the fit-for-purpose design: this is not a generic add-on, but a dedicated hookswitch accessory intended to extend headset control in supported deployments. That makes it a strong choice when you need dependable call management behavior rather than a workaround. For procurement teams, it is the kind of accessory that helps protect productivity across many users without adding complexity to the desk.
