The Lantronix UDS2100 is a dual-port external device server for connecting, managing and controlling equipment with serial ports over Ethernet or the Internet. This SKU includes an international power supply with regional adapters and a DB9F-to-DB9F Null Modem cable. The UDS2100 encapsulates serial data into packets and transports it over Ethernet using serial tunneling. Lantronix supplied Com Port Redirector software redirects Windows® device applications to communicate with devices connected to the UDS2100. The built-in web server enables access and configuration from a standard web browser. The UDS2100 can also be set up locally through its serial port, or remotely using Telnet. In modem emulation mode, the UDS accepts modem AT commands on the serial port and establishes a network connection to the end device.
