Lantronix EDS-MD is a certified multi-port wired IoT gateway for medical devices. EDSOR16P-01 is the 16-port device server configuration for connecting serial medical devices to the network. EDS-MD is designed for the medical industry and is described as UL and IEC-60601 compliant. It provides galvanic isolation on all ports to help protect connected medical devices if a grounding problem occurs. Secure Com Port Redirector™ lets existing serial port applications work with EDS-MD without code modifications. Virtual COM ports can be mapped to EDS-MD and encrypted at both ends of communication. Setup and configuration use industry-standard management tools including Web, CLI and XML. Centralized management is available via Percepxion™.
