InHand Networks IG502 compact metal industrial edge gateway with Ethernet ports, serial terminal block and SMA antenna connectors.

The IG502-FQ33 is the base North American configuration of InHand Networks' IG502 edge gateway. It is built for system integrators and OT teams that need to connect serial and Ethernet field equipment to the cloud over cellular. The FQ33 module provides LTE Cat 1 on bands B2/B4/B5/B12/B13/B25/B26, with two SMA 4G antenna connectors and dual micro-SIM failover. This version ships with standard 1 × RS-232 + 1 × RS-485 serial ports and does not include the optional I/O, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth or GNSS modules. Without Wi-Fi fitted, it operates from -40 °C to 70 °C. The gateway runs custom Linux on an ARM Cortex-A8 at 600 MHz, with 512 MB RAM and 8 GB eMMC storage. It offers a Python development environment for filtering, aggregation, thresholding and protocol bridging at the edge. With the optional DSA service, it can collect data over Modbus RTU/TCP, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, IEC 101/104, DNP3.0, IEC 61850-MMS, BACnet and more. It then normalizes that data for AWS, Azure and other cloud platforms. Two 10/100 Ethernet ports, USB 2.0 Type-A and a microSD slot (up to 32 GB) cover device access and local logging. Heartbeat link detection with auto-redial, an embedded hardware watchdog and an RTC with battery backup keep unattended sites running. OpenVPN, IPsec VPN, a firewall and multi-level user permissions protect the link. DeviceLive provides remote access, batch operations and firmware upgrades. The fanless metal housing measures 110 × 127 × 35 mm and weighs 420 g. It is rated IP30 and mounts on a panel or DIN rail.
