Create Free Business AccountThe 160D16 is a compact 1 VA low voltage PC board mount power transformer for circuit designers who need a small isolated AC supply on the board. It uses the universal dual 115/230V primary for 50/60 Hz operation, so the same part can be wired for either line voltage.
The secondary is rated 16V C.T. @ 55ma with the windings in series, giving a 16V centre-tapped output, or 8V @ 110ma with the two halves in parallel, doubling the available current to 110ma at 8V. Pick the 160D16 when your circuit needs a 8V or 16V C.T. AC rail at these current levels.
Construction is a vertical mount, split bobbin design, and the 1 VA size is concentric wound. Low primary to secondary coupling means no electrostatic shield is required. Insulation is Class B (130 degrees C) and the series is hipot tested to 2,000V RMS.
