It is a practical choice for designers matching a higher-impedance audio stage to a 600 ohm line in a compact, board-level part.
The pin-type package uses rugged potted construction to produce a completely sealed unit that withstands severe environmental conditions. Net weight is only 0.1 oz. Either winding may be used as the primary, so the 101H can also step 600 ohms up to 1200 ohms.
Nominal DC resistance is 80 ohms on the primary and 53 ohms on the secondary. The useful impedance range extends from 600/300 to 2400/1200 ohms primary/secondary, so the same part covers a range of source and load pairs at the same 2:1 impedance ratio.
