10 uH Phenolic-Core RF Choke, 500 mA

The 1531R is an R.F. and hash choke from the 1531-1535 Series with 10 uH of inductance (+/- 10%) on a phenolic core and a maximum DC current of 500 mA. It is aimed at designers and repair technicians who need a single-layer solenoid choke to block RF or suppress hash noise on a DC or signal line.

The 1531R uses a phenolic core for 10 uH with a 61 MHz minimum self-resonant frequency; its 1.5 ohm maximum DC resistance and 500 mA rating suit lower-current signal paths.

Electrically, the 1531R is specified with a minimum Q of 36 at a test frequency of 7.9 MHz, a self-resonant minimum frequency of 61 MHz and a maximum DC resistance of 1.5 ohms. The coil is wound as a solenoid (single coil) winding, which the series uses to keep distributed capacity low.

The coil diameter is 0.27 in (7 mm) and the core length is 0.75 in (19 mm). Series-wide, all models are impregnated with a moisture and fungus resistant varnish, include a vinyl insulation covering, have a lead length of 1.5 in (+/- 0.13 in) and are rated for an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
