The 1490MH9 is the 22.5 mm H size in the 1490 Series of Type 12 mild steel pushbutton consolets, with nine holes for 22.5 mm pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. Its squarer body, 9.50 in H x 8.50 in W x 7.88 in D (241 x 216 x 200 mm), is ideal for wall or surface mounting to present controls at a usable angle.
The drawing lists an 8.87 x 9.87 in door, 0.89 in holes on 2.25 in centres, and 0.25 in holes in the welded mounting brackets. Mounting position gives the front cover either a 30° or 60° slope.
Formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams makes up the body, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover against dirt, dust, oil and water. The internally hinged removable cover is designed to hold open during wiring and is secured by captive screws that thread into sealed wells. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating; a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud on the enclosure are provided.
The 1490MH9 is rated UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 with appropriate components. Shipping weight is 10 lbs (4.54 kg). The 30.5 mm equivalent is 1490H9.
