The 1427S3 is a round steel chassis handle with 4.00 in (102 mm) mounting hole centers and a Bright Chrome Plated finish. It is a single pull handle for equipment chassis, front panels and drawers, suited to OEM engineers, panel builders and integrators who need a steel handle on chassis, panel or drawer hardware. It is sold individually and ships as a kit with its mounting hardware.

The handle is formed from round CR steel with a 0.31 in (8 mm) diameter and carries the Bright Chrome Plated finish. The series table lists the black version of this size as 1427S3BK. Against the 1427S, which also has 4.00 in centers and a 1.50 in depth, the 1427S3 moves up to a 0.31 in rod and 10-32 screws.

Per the series table the handle has 4.00 in (102 mm) mounting hole centers, a 1.50 in (38 mm) handle depth and is listed against an 8.75 in (222 mm) panel height. The part page gives an overall size of 1.5 in x 4.31 in x 0.31 in (38 mm x 109 mm x 8 mm) (H x W x D), and the drawing shows an overall length of 109.55 mm [4.313 in]. Shipping weight is 0.15 lbs (0.07 kg).

Each end of the handle is tapped 10-32 UNF-2B x 14.27 mm [0.500 in], and the kit includes 2 Panhead 10-32 x 1/2" screws and 2 internal tooth lockwashers, so it fastens from behind the panel through two holes drilled at 4.00 in centers. The 1427S3 is listed as REACH compliant and RoHS compliant.
