10k:2k Ohm CT Interstage PCB Audio Transformer

The 102K is the highest-impedance interstage transformer in the 102 Series, coupling a 10000 ohm primary to a 2000 ohm center-tapped secondary. It is built for P.C. board audio circuits where a high-impedance stage feeds a balanced load.

The secondary is center tapped and, like the other center-tapped units in the series, uses a bifilar winding technique for balanced resistive and capacitive characteristics. The body is rugged black epoxy potting, producing a completely sealed unit. It mounts with square pins, 0.025 in square typical, and unused connections have no pin. The outline follows drawing figure 2.

The 102K takes a maximum primary DC of 2.5 mA. DC resistance is 1585 ohms on the primary and 260 ohms on the secondary, +/- 15%. It is rated for 20 mW output with 1.5 dB insertion loss and a low frequency roll-off of 310 Hz at -1 dB. Peak working voltage is 100 V.

The 102K is RoHS and REACH compliant, with a shipping weight of 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg). Where cost matters more than a sealed body, the series literature refers to the open-type 148 and 149 series.
