Sustain demanding edge workloads with a switch designed for modern access layers. The ExtremeSwitching 5420M 16port MR PoE+ Switch combines 16 multirate 100 Mb/1 Gb/2.5 Gb PoE ports with 802.3bt power delivery up to 90 W, giving you room for high-draw endpoints without adding external injectors. Four 10/25 Gb SFP28 uplinks provide the bandwidth needed to keep aggregation paths clear as access traffic grows. This model is built for environments where uptime, segmentation, and secure transport matter. MACsec capability supports encrypted links, while stacking support helps simplify expansion and operational consistency across the edge. With modular PSU slots and an included fan module, it is designed for infrastructure teams that want a switch class that can handle dense deployments without compromising control. For organizations standardizing on a premium access platform, the 5420M offers the power headroom and uplink flexibility that lower-tier switches cannot match.
