Extreme Networks 5520-24X-BASE 24-Port Switch

Move beyond fixed-port access switching with a platform designed for dense fiber connectivity and scalable architecture. The Extreme Networks 5520-24X-BASE provides 24 1Gb/10Gb SFP+ ports, giving network teams a clean way to build aggregation, distribution, or high-performance edge segments where copper-only designs are not enough. The platform also includes 2 stacking/QSFP28 ports, 1 unpopulated VIM slot, 2 unpopulated modular fan slots, and 2 unpopulated modular PSU slots. That combination matters in environments where uptime, serviceability, and future expansion are part of the purchase decision. Instead of replacing the entire switch as requirements grow, you can plan around modular components and higher-speed interconnects. This model fits enterprise teams that want a compact switch with serious uplink capability and room to adapt. It is a stronger fit than entry-level 24-port switches when the network design calls for fiber aggregation, stackable architecture, and operational flexibility in the rack.
