Extreme Networks 100G Passive DAC QSFP28 to 4xSFP28 5 m

Turn a single 100G port into four 25G connections with this 5 m passive DAC breakout cable. Designed for QSFP28 to 4xSFP28 applications, it gives network teams a direct way to fan out high-speed uplinks without adding optical modules or extra patching complexity. That matters in dense switching environments where short-reach connectivity is common and every port has to earn its place. A passive DAC keeps the link simple: fewer components, fewer points of failure, and a cleaner path from switch to server or aggregation layer. The 5 m reach provides enough flexibility for rack-to-rack or within-row runs while staying within the practical limits of copper direct attach cabling. For procurement teams, this cable is about efficiency with purpose. It supports high-density 100G architectures while avoiding the cost and overhead of optics where copper is sufficient. For architects, it offers a straightforward breakout design that aligns with modern 25G server access and 100G uplink strategies. Choose it when you need a reliable, direct breakout cable for short-reach fabric design and want to keep the physical layer simple.
