The Cradlepoint 170836-000 is the factory Wi-Fi antenna for the E3000 enterprise router, handling both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios through a single 194 mm charcoal paddle. Cradlepoint separates its Wi-Fi and cellular antennas for good reason - the RP-SMA connector here is deliberately keyed differently from the SMA cellular ports, so installers cannot cross-connect them during a rushed install. RF performance is matched to dual-band Wi-Fi service: the element operates from 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (dual-band) and terminates in a RP-SMA connector. Dual-band coverage means one part number serves both radios: 2.4 GHz for range and legacy clients, 5 GHz for throughput. It ships as an RP-SMA direct-attach unit and is TAA compliant for government purchasing. An E3000 running Wi-Fi as the branch access layer uses multiple paddles, and a missing one quietly degrades MIMO performance rather than failing loudly - users just complain the Wi-Fi is slow. Auditing sites and truing up to the full antenna complement with this exact part is the cheapest Wi-Fi upgrade a Cradlepoint fleet can buy. Cloud Care Networks stocks the Cradlepoint 170836-000 alongside the gateways and routers it supports, so IT and field-service teams can consolidate antennas, spares, and replacement hardware on a single order.
