The Cradlepoint E3000 is an all-in-one enterprise branch router. It brings together routing, security, PoE switching and Wi-Fi 6 with an embedded 5G modem, so fixed offices, healthcare sites, financial branches and retail stores can connect on day one without waiting for a wired line. Part number TAA-BFA1-30005GB-GN pairs the E3000-5GB hardware with a 1-year Ericsson NetCloud Enterprise Branch Essentials + Advanced package. It is a TAA-compliant ordering option for the U.S. Federal Government. This is the non-FIPS version; the FIPS 140-3 configuration is sold under a separate part number. The embedded 5GB modem supports 5G FR1 in NSA and SA modes with LTE Advanced Pro Category 20 and dual 2FF SIM slots. Peak rates reach up to 4.14 Gbps downlink and 660 Mbps uplink, and four external 600 MHz–6 GHz paddle antennas are included. The modem is certified on AT&T, EE, T-Mobile and Verizon. An MC400 modular modem slot adds a second cellular link, and Connection Manager governs wired and wireless WAN connections from one policy. For the branch LAN, the router has nine Gigabit ports, one 2.5GbE port and one 10GbE SFP+ port, all LAN/WAN switchable. It adds four 802.3bt PoE ports (up to 90 W each, 140 W total) and 4x4 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 rated at 1,148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2,400 Mbps on 5 GHz. The datasheet lists 2 Gbps stateful firewall, 1.5 Gbps IPS, 20 concurrent VPN tunnels and 130,000 concurrent TCP sessions. Essentials + Advanced delivers routing, VPN, SD-WAN, zone-based firewall, intrusion prevention and threat protection. NetCloud Manager adds zero-touch deployment, group policies and analytics dashboards. Support and software updates run for the full term, with a limited lifetime hardware warranty while a NetCloud plan remains active.
