The Ericsson Cradlepoint E3000-5GB is built for larger branches that need security services at scale without extra hardware. One metal chassis provides routing, security, switching with PoE, and Wi-Fi 6. The embedded 5G modem delivers connectivity from day one. It can also serve as failover behind a primary wired broadband link. This SKU is the U.S. and Canada configuration. It includes a 3-year NetCloud Enterprise Branch Essentials + Advanced subscription. The 5GB modem supports 5G FR1 NSA/SA with LTE Advanced Pro Category 20 fallback, 4x4 MIMO and dual 2FF SIM slots. Four paddle antennas are included. Peak rates reach 4.14 Gbps downlink and 660 Mbps uplink. On the wired side, the router has nine GbE RJ45 ports, one 2.5 GbE RJ45 port and one 10 GbE SFP+ port, all LAN/WAN switchable. Four ports supply 802.3bt PoE Type 3/4 at up to 90 W each, within a 140 W total budget. Wi-Fi 6 is dual-concurrent 4x4 MU-MIMO with external antennas, rated at 1,148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2,400 Mbps on 5 GHz. An MC400 slot supports a second modem with up to 1 Gbps peak throughput. The router also has an RJ45 console, USB 2.0 and a Bluetooth LE expansion module. Rated performance includes 2 Gbps stateful firewall, 1.5 Gbps IPS and application-aware services, and 400 Mbps point-to-point IPsec. The router supports 20 VPN tunnels, 130,000 TCP sessions and up to 64 VLANs, for a typical client count of 100. VRRP pairing adds hardware redundancy. NetCloud Essentials + Advanced adds zone-based firewall, intrusion prevention, SD-WAN, dynamic routing and zero-touch group policy. Support and updates run for the full three-year term. The limited lifetime hardware warranty applies while the subscription is active.
