Cradlepoint TAA-170767-000 COR Extensibility Cable, SATA to DB9 Serial, Black, 305 mm

The Cradlepoint TAA-170767-000 COR Extensibility Cable connects to a supported router's extensibility port through a SATA-type connector. The other end is a 9-pin DB9 connector that gives the router an RS-232 serial connection. Cradlepoint lists it for the IBR900, IBR600C and R500-PLTE, and it is the TAA-compliant version of part 170767-000. The cable opens up several serial workflows. The router can send GPS data over the serial port to onboard equipment such as fleet systems. Serial redirect lets data from a connected serial device be reported over the router's LTE connection. This helps connect meters, controllers and other legacy RS-232 equipment. On the IBR900, the cable also supports OBD-II vehicle data when used with an OBD-II cable. Together, these features give the router the same serial connection functionality as Cradlepoint's IBR1700. The black cable is 305 mm long, which is short enough for tidy vehicle and cabinet installations. It ships as the cable only.
