Instead of forklifting a working router out of the rack, you slide the modem into the expansion bay, attach the included doors and antennas, insert a 4FF SIM from your carrier, and manage the new cellular WAN link through NetCloud alongside your existing connections. For branch offices, retail locations, and clinics, the upgrade delivers two common outcomes. First, it creates a wireless failover path that keeps point-of-sale, VoIP, and cloud applications running when wired broadband fails. Second, in locations where fiber is slow to arrive or expensive to trench, 5G through this modem can serve as the primary WAN on day one, then shift to backup duty later without any hardware change. Because the MC400 is modular, the same E300 or E3000 chassis can also run dual-modem configurations for carrier diversity, pairing this 5G module with the router's other WAN sources.
