FN-TRAN-SFP+LR fits Fortinet network equipment with a compatible 10GE SFP+ interface. It provides an optical connection for switch uplinks, firewall-to-switch links, distribution-layer connections, and inter-building runs where single-mode fiber is already installed. The compact SFP+ form factor is hot-pluggable, allowing an optical port to be populated without adding a separate media conversion appliance. LR optics differentiate this module from short-reach multimode fiber connections by targeting single-mode fiber and longer campus or building-to-building distances. Verify that both link ends use compatible 10 Gigabit LR optics, duplex LC connectivity, and the same single-mode fiber path.
