Protect uptime where rack space is tight and outages are not an option. The Vertiv Liebert 38V Lithium Short Depth 1U Rack/Tower External Battery Cabinet adds external battery capacity to compatible Vertiv UPS environments, helping sustain critical workloads through power events without expanding the footprint of the system. Its short-depth 1U design fits constrained installations that still need enterprise-grade backup planning. Lithium battery architecture supports a lighter, more service-conscious approach than traditional lead-acid packs, while the rack/tower configuration gives deployment teams flexibility across branch rooms, edge closets, and compact data center rows. This battery cabinet is a strong fit when runtime extension matters more than basic backup. It is intended for infrastructure teams that need to preserve orderly shutdown windows, ride through brief outages, or bridge generator transfer delays with a cleaner, more space-efficient battery solution. For organizations standardizing on Vertiv Liebert power protection, it offers a purpose-built path to extend resilience without redesigning the rack.
