Deliver talkback audio from the ceiling while keeping the room visually quiet. The Valcom VIP-422A-SA-V4 is an Intrado IP talkback speaker designed for 2 x 2 lay-in ceiling installations, making it a strong fit for environments that need networked voice communication without cluttering the ceiling plane. This model is aimed at spaces where audio endpoints must blend into the architecture while still supporting reliable communication workflows. In conference areas, administrative offices, healthcare spaces, and other managed environments, an IP-based ceiling speaker can simplify system design by placing audio where people already gather. The white finish helps it disappear into standard ceiling systems, and the lay-in format supports a clean retrofit or new-build installation approach. For teams evaluating ceiling speakers on more than just sound output, this model stands out for its IP talkback orientation: it is built for communication, not just playback. That distinction matters when the goal is to support coordinated voice interaction across a facility with a consistent, professional appearance.
