The UniFi 5G Max Outdoor puts a full-performance 5G modem outside the building, where cellular signal is usually strongest, and brings the connection indoors over one PoE Ethernet cable. It is designed for UniFi consoles and Cloud Gateways and connects through a single 2.5 GbE RJ45 port. Maximum power draw is 14.5 W. Six embedded cellular antennas include two high-gain downlink antennas with 9 dBi peak gain and an 85° x 85° pattern, which you aim toward the serving tower. The radio covers 27 5G NR bands, 31 LTE bands and 3G UMTS, with HPUE power class 2 transmit power. Peak downlink is 3.4 Gbps on 5G NSA, 1.8 Gbps on 5G SA and 1.6 Gbps on LTE, depending on local coverage. Dual SIM support uses one Nano-SIM plus a second Nano-SIM or eSIM. Ubiquiti states that remote SIM capability is coming in a future update. The aluminum-alloy and UV-stabilized polycarbonate enclosure is rated IPX6, or IP67 with the cable-gland door kit. It operates from -40 to 65 °C and is rated for a wind load of 91 N at 200 km/h. Pole and wall mounts are included, and the pole mount fits pipes from 1 to 2.5 inches outer diameter. The modem is certified for AT&T and T-Mobile, and Verizon certification is listed as coming soon. T-Mobile Home Internet SIMs are not supported, and a data-only plan is required. The unit is NDAA compliant, which suits rural sites, warehouses, farms, construction yards and remote facilities where indoor reception is poor.
