Push PoE farther into the field without redesigning the site. TYCON SYSTEMS POE-EXT-GD-HP is an outdoor Gigabit PoE extender built for remote network endpoints that sit beyond the practical reach of a standard switch port. For infrastructure teams, the value is straightforward: preserve Ethernet connectivity and power delivery while extending the deployment footprint. That matters when a camera must be mounted at the perimeter, a wireless device needs to live on a pole or exterior wall, or a network endpoint must be placed where running new AC service would add cost and delay. The Gigabit data path supports modern edge devices that depend on consistent throughput, while the outdoor-oriented design helps fit installations exposed to the elements. Instead of adding complexity at the switch room, this extender moves the power and data handoff closer to the device, reducing the burden on field crews and simplifying the final mile. Use it when the network design is already set, but the endpoint is just out of reach. It is a practical way to extend PoE-based infrastructure with less cabling friction and more placement flexibility.
