Key Features

Supports compatible MacBook notebooks up to 16 inches
Integrated Cable Catch retains disconnected cables
Interchangeable inserts accommodate supported enclosure profiles
Space Gray aluminum construction
3.12-inch height and 4-inch width

Place a compatible MacBook upright beside an external display to recover desk space while keeping the notebook connected for closed-clamshell work. The Twelve South 12-2005 BookArc supports MacBook systems up to 16 inches and raises the computer above the desk surface for clearer airflow around the chassis. Its low-profile Space Gray aluminum construction suits a fixed desktop setup with a separate display, keyboard, mouse, power connection, and peripheral cables. The stand uses a silicone-lined slot and interchangeable inserts to fit the supported MacBook enclosure profiles. Compatibility covers the 16-inch MacBook Pro, 13-inch MacBook Air from 2020, 13-inch MacBook Air USB-C/Retina models, and 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models with USB-C. Insert D and Insert E are included in the package for matching the stand to applicable notebook dimensions. An integrated Cable Catch retains disconnected cables at the stand rather than allowing display, charging, or peripheral leads to drop behind the desk. That detail matters where a MacBook is routinely removed for travel and returned to a workstation. At 3.12 inches high and 4 inches wide, BookArc occupies a small desktop footprint while keeping the notebook positioned vertically rather than flat on the work surface.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between BookArc and 12-2005?▾

BookArc is the Twelve South product model name. 12-2005 is the manufacturer ordering code for the Space Gray BookArc MacBook vertical desktop stand. Use the ordering code when matching an order, and use BookArc when confirming the stand’s intended MacBook application.

What is included with 12-2005?▾

The package contains the BookArc for MacBook stand, Insert D, and Insert E. The stand also uses interchangeable inserts to match supported MacBook profiles. Cables, an external monitor, keyboard, mouse, and MacBook computer are not listed among the package contents.

Which MacBook computers fit the BookArc stand?▾

BookArc supports specified MacBook models up to 16 inches: 16-inch MacBook Pro, 13-inch MacBook Air 2020, 13-inch MacBook Air USB-C/Retina, plus 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models with USB-C. Match the appropriate insert to the supported notebook profile.

How does Cable Catch help in a MacBook desk setup?▾

Cable Catch holds disconnected power, display, and peripheral cables near the stand when the MacBook is removed. This keeps commonly used connections accessible at the desk, reducing the chance that cables fall behind a monitor or work surface between docking sessions.
