Keep outdoor links stable where cabling is impractical. The TRENDnet TEW-840APBO is a directional outdoor access point built for point-to-point WiFi bridging, wireless backhaul, and remote connectivity across open spaces. Its 14 dBi antenna focuses signal energy where it is needed, helping preserve link quality over distance while reducing spillover. This model supports Access Point, WDS Bridge, WDS Access Point, WDS Station, and Client Bridge modes, giving network teams flexibility when designing outdoor wireless topologies. That matters when one device must serve as a bridge endpoint, a client receiver, or part of a wider outdoor mesh of fixed links. The IP56-rated housing is designed for outdoor exposure, and the included wall and pole mounting hardware simplifies placement on buildings, masts, and utility structures. PoE support reduces installation complexity by allowing power and data to run over a single cable, which is especially useful in locations where AC power is limited. For teams that need a purpose-built outdoor bridge rather than a general-purpose indoor AP, the TEW-840APBO delivers focused RF design, deployment flexibility, and weather-ready construction in a form factor suited to serious field installations.
