TRENDnet TU-S910 10' USB to Serial Converter

Keep legacy serial equipment in service without tying up older PCs. This TRENDnet USB to serial converter provides a straightforward path from a USB 1.1 Type-A male connector to a 9-pin DB-9 RS-232 serial male connector, with data transfer up to 6 Mbps. The 10 ft cable length gives you room to place equipment where it belongs instead of where the port happens to be. For IT teams supporting switches, modems, computers, USB devices, and MAC environments, this adapter class is about reliability and compatibility, not excess features. It is designed to preserve access to serial-managed hardware that still matters in labs, service desks, and network closets. The longer cable run can simplify console access in tight racks or awkward service positions, while the USB-to-serial format avoids the need for a dedicated serial port on the host system. When the job is maintaining access to installed equipment, a purpose-built converter is often the most efficient option.
