Capture broad scenes with an 8 MP panoramic network camera that concentrates wide-area video coverage into a turret-format device. VIGI InSight S485PI combines panoramic imaging with IR capability for security installations where the scene requires more horizontal context than a conventional focused camera view. Its network-camera format supports placement as part of an IP video surveillance system. The panoramic format is relevant for open areas such as building entrances, reception spaces, lobbies, retail floors and shared work areas where operators need to observe activity across a wide scene. An 8 MP image provides the resolution class specified for this camera, while IR capability adds an infrared imaging function to the camera’s coverage requirements. The turret form factor suits fixed surveillance positions that need a compact camera profile. INSIGHT S485PI is the ordering designation for this 8 MP IR panoramic turret network camera. Within the VIGI InSight camera range, its combination of panoramic coverage, 8 MP resolution and IR capability distinguishes it from cameras intended for narrower fixed views. Specify it when the installation calls for a panoramic turret camera rather than a standard network camera format without those named capabilities.
