Bring VPN routing, AX3000 wireless connectivity, 4G+ cellular access and powered Ethernet connections together at the network edge. The TP-Link Omada ER706WP-4G is configured as a VPN gateway for locations that require local wireless access alongside wired connectivity and a mobile WAN option. Four PoE+ ports allow compatible powered Ethernet devices to connect directly to the gateway. This configuration suits branch offices, retail counters, temporary sites and distributed facilities where space or cabling constraints favor consolidating gateway functions. A network can use the 4G+ connection where cellular service is part of the WAN design, while the VPN gateway role supports protected connectivity between the local site and remote network resources. The AX3000 wireless class provides an integrated wireless component rather than requiring a separate device for local client access. What distinguishes this gateway configuration is the combination of 4G+, AX3000 wireless capability and four PoE+ connections in one Omada appliance. Evaluate the required WAN design, cellular service, wired endpoint power requirements and wireless client requirements before deployment. This makes the unit appropriate where gateway routing and directly connected powered devices need to be considered together.
