Extend 25 GbE network links over single-mode fiber with a 25GBASE-LR SFP28 optical module built for up to 10 km reach. The TP-Link Omada SM6110-LR uses a duplex LC optical interface and 1310 nm wavelength to connect compatible SFP28 ports across campus buildings, data-center rows, equipment rooms, or remote network closets. Its maximum signaling rate is 25.78 Gb/s and it operates in full-duplex mode. The module fits SFP28 cages, allowing an optical uplink or interconnect to be installed without changing the host switch or network adapter. Hot-plug support allows insertion or replacement while the attached equipment remains powered, subject to the host platform's maintenance procedures. Use 9/125 µm single-mode fiber and LC-terminated patching to maintain the specified long-reach optical path. This LR variant is differentiated by its 10 km single-mode reach and 1310 nm optical specification, rather than a short-reach multimode connection. It supports IEEE 802.3ae operation and is specified for 0 to 70 °C operating temperatures with 10 to 90% humidity. Compact SFP28 dimensions of 57 x 14 x 12 mm make it appropriate for high-density interfaces where a 25 GbE optical connection must occupy one standard transceiver slot.
