Add a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 node to a Deco mesh with the DECO BE25(1-PACK). This BE5000-class unit combines the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for up to 5,000 Mbps aggregate wireless throughput, including up to 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 4,324 Mbps on 5 GHz. Wi-Fi 7 support includes Multi-Link Operation, which can use more than one wireless band for traffic transmission and reception. Four internal antennas and MU-MIMO support serve connected client devices across the mesh. Two RJ45 ports support 2.5 GbE WAN or LAN operation, allowing the unit to connect to a multi-Gigabit broadband service, a wired client, or a wired mesh backhaul. Only one port on one mesh unit should connect to the broadband modem. Wireless backhaul is also supported where Ethernet is not available between nodes. Configure the unit as a wireless router for gateway duties or select access point mode when an existing router remains in place. This single-pack configuration supplies one mesh unit for adding coverage or building a smaller installation. AI-driven mesh functions help steer connections as clients move through the coverage area. WPA3 security, guest networking, IPv4 and IPv6 support, VPN support, and HomeShield network-security functions provide the network controls expected for connected home and small-site devices. Management is available through the Deco app for Android and iOS.
