Supply Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and PoE+ power to edge devices from a single rack-mounted switch. Sixteen RJ45 ports carry both data and power for compatible access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones, and other IEEE 802.3af/at endpoints. Two additional Gigabit RJ45 ports provide non-PoE connections for an upstream router, firewall, server, NVR, or distribution switch. The TP-Link Omada TL-SG1218MP provides a 250 W total PoE budget, allowing the switch to power multiple higher-draw PoE+ devices without separate local power adapters. Each PoE+ port can supply up to 30 W when the overall power budget permits. Its 18 Gigabit ports support full-speed wired connections across the access layer, while the 36 Gbps switching capacity keeps traffic moving between powered endpoints and the two uplink ports. Install the switch in a network rack where a consolidated Ethernet and power handoff is needed for a camera cluster, wireless access layer, or voice deployment. The distinguishing port layout combines 16 powered Gigabit connections with two dedicated non-PoE Gigabit links, avoiding the need to consume powered ports for every upstream device. As an unmanaged switch, it forwards traffic without requiring switch configuration for basic deployment.
