Keep mobile endpoints anchored where work happens. The Targus DEFCON Compact Serial lock is designed for tablets and notebooks that move between desks, meeting rooms, and public-facing spaces. Its compact form keeps the setup clean, while the galvanized steel cable adds the physical resistance procurement teams expect from a serious asset-protection accessory. At 6.50 ft, the cable provides enough reach for common workstation layouts without forcing awkward placement. The black finish blends into enterprise environments, and the serial lock format supports straightforward deployment across mixed device fleets. For organizations that need a simple, repeatable way to reduce walk-off risk, this lock offers a practical balance of portability and deterrence. It is a strong fit for IT teams standardizing physical security across notebooks and tablets in offices, education, retail, and field operations. When the cost of a lost device includes downtime, replacement, and exposure of local data, a compact cable lock is a small investment that helps protect much larger assets.
